Congratulations to the People of Egypt! Determination, unity, and peaceful determination have seen you through. I hope that these values are indicative of Egypt's future, its relationship with its neighbors, and with the world. Yes, Egypt is free, but remember: with freedom come great responsibilities. The greater work still lies ahead of you.
And, as strange as it may sound, congratulations to Hosni Mubarak as well, for understanding the futility of hanging onto power before things got truly ugly. Resigning today may have been his final act of actually serving Egypt.
