America Land of the free No Choice

America is losing the battle for Democracy: Despite an overwhelming majority of Americans being in favor of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court is now looking to reverse almost a half century of law, taking away a woman’s right to her own body.

Make no mistake, those who bill themselves “pro-life” are in fact “anti-choice”: They do not trust women to know what’s right for themselves, they do not want women to have a choice whether to carry a child to term or terminate an unwanted pregnancy and some, like Governor Pete Rickets of Nebraska, go so far as to place a woman’s rights beneath those of rapists and sex abusers: On Sunday, May 15, 2022 Rickets stated that “Life begins at conception,” and that even in the case of rape or incest, “they’re still babies,” and should not be terminated else all involved would be subject to criminal penalties.

I’m sure that’s the kind of view that only rapists and sex abusers could truly appreciate.

At this rate, it won’t be long before we’re back to burning witches. Good times!
