Incompetent and Evil

Had Hamas attacked military targets exclusively, one would have been forced to admit that their conflict was based on grievances with the State of Israel, but slaughtering civilians by the hundreds and taking them hostage is a clear and unequivocal sign that Hamas is a true terrorist organization and must be held to account for the atrocities they have committed. With such evil, the only solution is to eradicate each and every one, to the very last.

In Isaac Asimov’s “Foundation”, Salvor Hardin has a sign in his office: “Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.” By this maxim, Hamas have declared their incompetence to achieve their goals by civilized means. Savagery is henceforth their calling card, and with savagery they shall be met.

It is regrettable that Hamas have decided to drag the entire Palestinian civilian population into the cross hairs with their actions, but seeing what they have already inflicted on Israel’s civilians, it is evident that Hamas never did give any consideration to their own population at all.
