A Pessimistic Outlook

The paint is peeling, the cracks are showing, and the rot in the walls is starting to reek.

”Democracy!” and “Freedom!” so cry the voices and proudly flies the Red, White, and Blue, while through the backdoor sneak the likes of Victoria Nuland to bring down democracy and freedom wherever the people actually do exercise their freedom and steer their democracy to serve themselves, rather than us.

Democracy and Freedom have become synonymous with Hegemony and Slavery, alas, even here at home.

Countless times we have brought down democratically elected governments and installed dictators in their stead; have pitted nations against neighbors; made trained poodles out of the European leadership; and brought ruin to the countries who we initially supported in war.

By now our version of “democracy” and “freedom” have made enemies of most of the world, and provided the most powerful nations of the world rich cause to unite against us.

The first blow is an unequivocal reaction to America’s brutal hegemony: The BRICS alliance, now 10 nations strong, controls not only the Suez Canal but most of the world’s fossil fuel energy, and seeks to introduce its own currency. Ahead of this, the BRICS nations are already abandoning the dollar within their own sphere of trade.

The second blow is entirely self-inflicted: America’s willful proxy war against Russia, so far the latest in a decades-old NATO assault on Russia, has not only cost America (and the obedient poodle states of Europe) vast sums of money, but also laid bare the deficiencies in some of the West’s best military products: None of it is all that good, not to say laughably deficient, while Russia is ramping up production so fast and innovating so rapidly that America’s lucrative military exports stand to suffer as buyers must be increasingly impressed with Russia’s demonstrated superior products.

The confluence of these factors is a looming currency crisis and possibly catastrophic economic crash: In desperate need to keep the war expenditures going, the US has printed so much new money that the national debt increased by more than 10% in a single year alone, and essentially doubled over the last 10 years (to $34 Trillion). Add to that the fact that countless nations are no longer willing to hold American debt (they’re selling it off) and not buying more, and even staunch allies like Japan jumping on the bandwagon, and the dollar has begun to suffer significant inflation.

Even worse, almost a quarter of the national debt ($8.2 Trillion) will need to be refinanced in 2024, but with America’s credit rating already reduced, the cost of merely the interest payments on the debt will almost double. The government’s claims notwithstanding that inflation is minimal and under control, prices for energy and even more so for common goods have risen at staggering (double digit) rates in the past few years.

At the same time, the government actively encourages(!) unprecedented illegal(!) immigration, literally suing border states like Texas for trying to stem the tide. This not only impacts crime levels (hordes of looters sacking shops has become a $70 Billion “industry”), but worsens the cost and access to social and medical services. Illegal immigrants are also able to obtain drivers licenses by which they can then vote in local and national elections.

Through this deliberate mechanism we are seeing widespread destabilization and destruction of our lawful and orderly society, the rapid devaluation of the dollar and effective reduction of our wages, revelation of America’s crumbling military prowess, and by all appearances, the beginning of the end of the American Empire.

Are our leaders retarded? Who is running this shit show?

Who else, but someone whom we seriously pissed off, right? The problem with that answer is that we basically pissed off everyone, but there you have your answer. We’re in serious trouble because we can’t even point the finger at the culprit.

Can America recover?

Perhaps. President Joe Biden, like Democratic presidents of the past few decades before him, actively works against the interests of the American People. Many Republican presidents are no better. Donald Trump has shown signs of understanding some of these problems (notably the issue at the Southern Border), but his clumsy trade war with China only made matters worse on that front. RFK Jr. and Vivek Ramaswami seem to have a decent grasp as well.

At best, Trump, RFK Jr., and Ramaswami are a good beginning, but it will take at least a handful of presidents over the course of several decades to really start fixing these issues. They are by now so deeply rooted that it will take carefully orchestrated, consistent, and focused efforts. Even then, it is a monumental undertaking.

Another problem is that those who really run the country hold the leashes and the whips on almost everyone who matters, and they will bring down hell on anyone who bucks the system and dares to interfere. Trump is the perfect example: The attacks on him are numerous, relentless, and far too often specious; and the mainstream stories on him are grotesque distortions and lies by omission, but too many people enjoy these lies and gleefully support the attacks, never realizing that they themselves have become the food in the pasture and they are cheering their masters while being led to the abattoir.

I should know, I was one of them.
